Steak and Scallops Dinner

Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks Choose high-quality ribeye for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the steaks.
  • to taste grams salt Essential for flavor enhancement.
  • to taste grams pepper Freshly cracked is preferred.

For the Scallops

  • 8 pieces scallops Use fresh if possible; frozen is acceptable.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the scallops.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Adds richness to the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Chopped for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Cooking the Steaks

  • Place the seasoned steaks in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board.

Cooking the Scallops

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add the scallops to the skillet, without crowding, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • When the scallops are nearly done, add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute until fragrant.

Assembly

  • Place the resting steaks on plates and top with the scallops.
  • Drench everything in the buttery garlic sauce left in the pan and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes

Let steaks sit at room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Always pat scallops dry for a good sear.
