Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 1 lb Steak (Sirloin or Ribeye) Choose ribeye for more marbling and tenderness.
  • 3 tbsp Miso Paste Quality white or red miso is recommended.
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Essential for savory taste.
  • 2-3 cloves Minced Garlic Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 thumb-sized piece Fresh Ginger, grated For aromatic bite.
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil For cooking the steak.

For the Dumplings & Vegetables

  • 12-16 pieces Frozen or Homemade Dumplings Use your favorite flavor.
  • 1 cup Bok Choy, chopped Can substitute with other seasonal vegetables.
  • 1 cup Carrots, sliced Add color and nutrition.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions, sliced For garnish and extra crunch.

For the Base

  • 4 cups Cooked Rice or Noodles Optional for a heartier meal.
  • 2 cups Vegetable Broth To keep the dish lighter.

Instructions
 

Marinating the Steak

  • In a small bowl, combine miso paste, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix until smooth.
  • Toss in the steak, ensuring it’s nicely coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak.
  • Sear on each side for about 4-6 minutes for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest.

Preparing the Dumplings and Vegetables

  • In the same pan, cook the dumplings according to package instructions until golden.
  • Add chopped bok choy and sliced carrots. Stir-fry until tender.

Assembling the Bowl

  • Slice the rested steak against the grain and place over a bed of cooked rice or noodles.
  • Top with dumplings and stir-fried vegetables. Garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes
