Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna

Ingredients
  

For the meat sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20) Use 80/20 ratio for flavor and juiciness.
  • 1 small onion, diced Adds sweetness and flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup crispy cooked halal bacon, crumbled Adds smoky flavor.
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz) Can substitute with any tomato-based sauce.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Gives rich flavor.
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika Adds depth of flavor.
  • to taste Salt & pepper Adjust seasoning as needed.

For the béchamel sauce

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter Base for the sauce.
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour Thickens the béchamel.
  • 2 cups whole milk Main liquid for béchamel.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds richness.
  • 2 tsp garlic powder Boosts the garlic flavor.
  • to taste Salt & pepper To taste.

For assembly

  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles, cooked al dente Provides structure to lasagna.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella Creates the gooey layer.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar Adds flavor.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping) To sprinkle on top.
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional) For garnish and freshness.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Meat Sauce

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Add diced onion and sauté until soft, then stir in minced garlic.
  • Add marinara, crumbled bacon, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Make the Parmesan Garlic Béchamel

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in flour and cook for a minute to eliminate any raw taste.
  • Slowly whisk in milk, stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  • Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder, season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.

Assemble the Lasagna

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a 9x13” dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, cheese, and repeat.
  • Finish with cheese on top and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Bake and Rest

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For lighter versions, use ground turkey instead of beef. You can use gluten-free noodles, and for extra crunch, top with breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter before final baking.
