Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Brush the pastry with olive oil if you're using it.
  • Spread chopped spinach and grated Parmesan evenly over the pastry.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
  • Cut the pastry into strips, about 1-inch wide.
  • Twist each strip gently about two full spins and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the twists.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Notes

Don’t rush the rolling process and ensure the oven is fully preheated. For extra kick, add red pepper flakes. You can freeze assembled twists before baking for later use.
