  • 2 cups Macaroni Pasta Feel free to swap for whole grain or gluten-free varieties.
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded Choose sharp cheddar for a more intense flavor.
  • 3 cups Beef Broth Opt for low sodium if watching salt intake.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Adds umami punch.
  • 1 large Onion, diced Sweet and aromatic when sautéed.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder A must-have for extra flavor.

Preparation

  • In a large pot over medium heat, toss in your ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the diced onion to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  • Pour in the macaroni and beef broth, then add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer for 8-10 minutes or until macaroni is al dente.
  • Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted into a creamy sauce.
  • Serve immediately, optionally garnished with green onions or paprika.

Notes

This dish reheats well. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth for creaminess. Avoid overcooking the pasta and draining excess meat fat.
