Cooking Steps

  • Place your pot over medium heat and brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon.
  • Drain any excess fat from the beef and add the diced onion, sautéing until translucent.
  • Stir in the macaroni, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Cover the pot and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes, until the macaroni is al dente.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Serve warm and garnish with fresh herbs or extra cheese, if desired.

Notes

Use a heavy-bottomed pot to prevent burning. Optional: add sour cream or sautéed veggies for customization. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
