Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 pounds boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 12-15 pieces pepperoncini peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  • Cut the unsalted butter into pieces and place on top of the roast.
  • Add pepperoncini peppers all around and on top of the roast. Add smashed garlic cloves if using.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
  • Remove the roast and peppers from the slow cooker and shred the meat with two forks.
  • Optional: skim fat from the cooking liquid, then return shredded meat and peppers to the juices and stir well.
  • Serve hot with spoonfuls of the cooking juices poured over the top.
