  • 1 cup pancake mix This is the base for the batter.

  • as needed chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping Optional but recommended for added sweetness.

Preparation

  • Gather your supplies, including a large pot or deep fryer, slotted spoon, and bowl for the batter.
  • Skewer each jumbo marshmallow with a toothpick or short skewer for easy dipping.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the pancake mix and water until smooth and slightly thick.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a pot to 350°F (175°C).

Frying

  • Dip each marshmallow in the batter, letting excess batter drip off.
  • Carefully lower the marshmallow into the hot oil, frying a few at a time for about 30-45 seconds until golden brown.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes
