  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adds warmth.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For zest.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For crispy coating.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to mix until well combined.
  • Lightly grease your hands and shape the mixture into balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until completely coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the coated potato puffs on the sheet, spaced apart.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm, optionally with dipping sauce.

Notes

Allow puffs to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. For reheating, use the oven to maintain crispiness.
