  • 1/2 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is best, but carton juice is acceptable.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Adds caramelized depth to the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps with browning and moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic works too.
  • to taste salt and pepper Just a sprinkle can make a big difference.
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional) Thyme or parsley works beautifully.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and pour the glaze over it, making sure to coat it evenly.
  • Cover the pan with foil to help the turkey cook evenly and stay moist.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, checking that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the foil for the last half-hour of cooking to allow the turkey to brown.

Finishing Touches

  • Once cooked, let the turkey rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the turkey breast, drizzle with the leftover glaze, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Invest in a good meat thermometer to prevent overcooking. You can prepare the glaze ahead of time or marinate the turkey in it overnight for extra flavor. Each oven is different, so keep an eye on the turkey as it cooks.
