Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil A healthy fat that helps you cook that chicken to perfection.

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Because you can never have too much garlic, right?
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder A little background flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust this according to your spice preference.

For the sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter Creaminess factor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor and aroma.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Adds moisture and a savory foundation.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds creaminess.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Elevates the creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley A fresh pop of color and flavor.

For the pasta

  • 340 g fettuccine or pasta of choice Feel free to use whatever you have on hand.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Add seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • Lower heat to medium and add unsalted butter to the same skillet.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer, scraping up browned bits.
  • Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Gradually add Parmesan cheese and stir until fully melted.

Combining Ingredients

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, add lemon juice and half of the chopped parsley, and mix well.
  • In a separate pot, cook fettuccine according to package instructions; once done, drain and add to the skillet.

Final Assembly

  • Toss everything together for another 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  • Plate and serve with remaining parsley and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan.

Notes

Add veggies like baby spinach or sun-dried tomatoes while chicken cooks for extra nutrition. This dish is best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth or cream to maintain moisture.
