  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Freshly grated is recommended for better taste.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Use a good quality oil for flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Enhancer of flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Rigatoni

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook until al dente as per package directions.
  • Drain the pasta, reserving a bit of starchy water for later.

Searing the Steak Tips

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Cajun-seasoned steak tips, cooking until desired doneness is reached, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure beautiful sear.

Crafting the Cheese Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt over medium heat.
  • Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling. If too thick, add reserved pasta water.

Combining It All

  • Remove the steak from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
  • Toss cooked rigatoni in cheese sauce, then mix in steak tips until evenly combined.

Serving It Up

  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
