This refreshing blackberry limeade combines homemade blackberry syrup with fresh lime juice for a perfectly balanced, tangy, and sweet drink. Ideal for hot summer days, gatherings, or a healthy, flavorful refreshment.

Instructions
In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, mashing the berries gently as they soften.
Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 15–30 minutes to deepen the flavor.
Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract as much juice as possible. Discard solids.
Add freshly squeezed lime juice to the syrup and stir well.
Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and stir to combine. Adjust sweetness or tartness to taste by adding more water or sugar if desired.
Refrigerate until chilled. When ready to serve, pour over ice cubes and top with sparkling water or ginger ale if using.
