  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed The star of our show!
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry preserves Use any variety you like.
  • 1 large egg, beaten for wash Gives pastries a beautiful finish.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar Helps bring out sweetness and crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted Adds richness to flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Lifts the flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and smooth out any creases.
  • Spread mixed berry preserves over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • Mix melted butter with vanilla extract and brush it over the preserves.
  • Cut the pastry into 8 equal strips.
  • Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 10 minutes. Can freeze before baking for up to a month.
