Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onions and sliced mushrooms, stirring until golden brown.
  • Add the beef strips and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the Dijon mustard and paprika, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper; let simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, don’t overcook the beef. Adding fresh herbs at the end can enhance flavor. This dish can be prepared in advance, storing the beef and sauce separately for easy reheating.
